Maksym Krippa is expanding its presence in the Ukrainian investment field, consistently strengthening its position in strategically important industries. The latest example is its entry into the co-ownership of one of the country’s key development companies specializing in large-scale residential and commercial projects. This step fits logically into Krippa’s long-term investment plan aimed at supporting industries with high growth potential.
Over the past 2 years, Krippa’s business activity has intensified significantly: its total investments in the Ukrainian economy have already exceeded $100 million. And development is just one link in a broader chain of investments. His portfolio includes technology companies, dynamic startups, and projects that demonstrate sustained positive momentum. The investor’s approach is not one of one-off injections, but of systematic work with businesses that are shaping the future of the Ukrainian market.
Key property owned by Maksym Krippa: overview of assets
Maksym Krippa continues to consistently strengthen his position in the Kyiv real estate market, gradually forming a balanced portfolio of properties in the capital and prestigious suburbs. His investment activity in recent years demonstrates a clear strategy: investing in landmark locations with long-term growth potential.
One of the businessman’s most notable acquisitions was an elite property in the village of Kozin. The deal was made in early 2023 through an auction, during which the value of the estate jumped from an initial 187.63 million to 311.11 million hryvnia. This significant price increase — over 120 million — is a clear sign of high demand for properties of this class.
The estate in Kozin is not just residential real estate, but a space with flexible functional potential. Among the possible options for its further use is the creation of a club base for NAVI, one of the world’s most famous esports teams. In this format, the property could be transformed into a modern training hub with everything necessary for the professional growth of players.
Another development option is to transform the estate into a premium wellness center. Krippa himself, in an interview with Forbes, suggested the possibility of implementing a project similar to the Spanish clinic SHA. The idea is to create a space for recovery that combines medical, sports, and relaxation practices at the highest level.
In the final months of 2023, one of the most famous buildings in the capital, the Kyiv skyscraper Parus, was added to Maksym Krippa’s investment portfolio. After lengthy negotiations with the former owner and completion of all necessary legal procedures, including approval by the AMCU, the agreement was officially signed on December 1.
Parus is not just a business center, but a symbol of commercial Kyiv, well known to every resident of the capital. The BC Parus is located in the heart of Kyiv, at the intersection of Mechnikova and Klovskogo streets, in close proximity to the government quarter and the Klovska metro station. The building stands out not only for its architectural expressiveness, reminiscent of a sail, but also for its modern engineering equipment: it has high-speed elevators, energy-efficient climate control systems, and a multi-level security system. Parus has 34 floors above ground and several underground levels with parking for over 300 cars. The business center has long been a location for offices of international companies, law firms, banks, and IT companies, making it one of the most prestigious office spaces in the country.
Although the specific purchase price has not been disclosed, it is known that Krippa’s team conducted a full due diligence check and ensured that all taxes associated with the transaction were paid.
Maksym Krippa personally noted that any previous estimates of the building’s value no longer reflect reality. Along with the property, he also assumed financial obligations for the former owner’s debts, which at the time of the transaction amounted to approximately UAH 600 million. The repayment of debt obligations was organized in stages, which made it possible to avoid a one-time burden on financial flows and optimize risk management.
In addition to purely investment interests, Krippa also considered a visual upgrade of the building. One of the initiatives was to install a large LED screen on the facade, similar to the one that adorns the Burj Khalifa tower in Dubai. To this end, negotiations were even held with the Spanish company that developed the Dubai project. However, despite the initial enthusiasm of the parties, it has been decided to postpone the implementation of this idea for the time being.
Why the Kozatsky Hotel was not included in Maksym Krippa’s investment portfolio
In 2024, Maksym Krippa made one of the most high-profile moves on the capital’s real estate market, acquiring ownership of the legendary Hotel Ukraine, which stands on Maidan Nezalezhnosti, the symbolic center of Kyiv. The acquisition took place within the framework of transparent privatization through the Prozorro.Sale platform, which became a venue for an open auction among interested investors.
The highest bid at the auction was made by Ola Fine, whose beneficiary is Krippa himself. The proposed amount of 2.5 billion hryvnia secured victory in the competition, and the total cost of the transaction, including VAT, amounted to approximately 3 billion hryvnia. Approximately 500 million of this amount immediately went to the state budget in the form of taxes — further proof of the financial transparency of the deal.
However, the acquisition of the hotel was only one step in Krippa’s broader investment strategy. In 2025, he implemented a new key initiative by investing in one of Ukraine’s most promising development companies, DIM. Although the details of the deal have not been disclosed, available information suggests that it involves a significant stake that will allow Krippa to influence the company’s development. In this way, Krippa is not only expanding its presence in the real estate sector, but also participating in shaping the future of Kyiv’s urban landscape.
Maksym Krippa demonstrates a balanced approach to forming his own portfolio of investment properties. His priorities are not only location in prestigious areas, but also the technical readiness of buildings for modernization and compliance with modern operating standards. It was precisely because of these criteria that the Kozatsky Hotel, despite its attractive location in the heart of the capital, did not become part of his assets.
In a comment to Forbes, the businessman explained that the decision was based on the results of an in-depth technical audit. The audit revealed serious problems with the property — in particular, the first two floors of the building, with an area of approximately 9,500 m2, were completely flooded. According to Krippa, such damage makes it virtually impossible to use the premises without major repairs.
Another deterrent was the height of the ceilings. In the Kozatsky, they are only 2.7 meters high, which, according to the investor, significantly limits the possibilities for modern conversion. For comparison, in the Ukraine Hotel, which Krippa did purchase, the ceiling height is 3.2 meters — enough to integrate modern ventilation, lighting, and air conditioning systems without compromising comfort.
When bids during the auction exceeded his financial barrier of 400 million hryvnia, Krippa made a strategic decision to withdraw from the auction without entering into competition for the problematic asset.
Focus on innovation: capital investment in game development and esports
Maksym Krippa entered the world of esports in 2018, betting on a promising project — the Maincast studio, which specialized in broadcasting leading global ESL and BLAST tournaments. He initially acquired 25% of the company, but over time not only increased his stake but also became the driving force behind strategic changes in the broadcaster’s development.
That same year, Krippa reached a new level of investment by turning his attention to Natus Vincere, a cult eSports organization with a global name. After lengthy preparations and a series of negotiations, in 2022, he finally acquired the club from its former owner, Alexander Kokhanovsky, becoming the sole beneficiary of NAVI.
The year 2023 brought even more ambitious steps. This time, the entrepreneur went beyond broadcasting and teams, making a serious investment in game development. Control of GSC Game World, the studio behind the legendary Stalker series, passed to Krippa after he acquired 82% of the company. This investment opened a new chapter in the history of the brand, which was experiencing a period of stagnation.
The results of this transformation became apparent the following year, in November 2024, with the release of the long-awaited S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The game’s release was not just a high-profile event, but a symbol of the rebirth of the Ukrainian gaming industry, which had been in a deep crisis.
After the release, GSC Game World did not stop there. On the contrary, the studio began to actively scale up, expanding its team and strengthening its position in the global market.
Maksym Krippa’s business horizons: from Ukrainian assets to Dubai projects
Maksym Krippa earned his first significant capital in the 2000s, when mobile communications were actively developing in Ukraine. At that time, he worked in the telecommunications sector, in particular at Kyivstar, a company that was rapidly gaining momentum. At that time, only about 20% of Ukrainians had mobile phones, so the industry was on the verge of explosive growth. Thanks to the effective launch of a retail network and the introduction of related services, Krippa managed to earn his first million — this profit became the foundation for further investment steps.
By 2007, he had gradually shifted his focus to other areas, particularly real estate in the Kyiv region. He started with basic commercial properties, but over time added more complex infrastructure assets to his portfolio. This allowed him to gain experience with different investment formats and develop a long-term capital investment strategy.
A new chapter in his career began in 2016 when Krippa moved to the United Arab Emirates. At that time, the real estate market in the UAE was in decline, which opened a window of opportunity for investors. According to the entrepreneur himself in an interview with Forbes, at that time, the cost per square meter in key areas of Dubai was 5–7 times lower than at the beginning of 2025. This allowed him to enter high-potential projects at an extremely favorable price.
As of today, his assets in the UAE include over 100,000 m2 of real estate, both residential and commercial. Among his current projects is a large-scale development next to the Dubai Mall, which is set to become a new milestone in his development activities in the Middle East.
