At the end of February this year, it was announced that Maksym Krippa, the businessman and owner of the esports team NAVI, was appointed president of the Ukrainian Esports Federation (UESF).
In a recent interview with the Ukrainian edition of Forbes, Krippa discussed his upcoming plans and ambitions for the organization.
His Goals and Vision
Krippa emphasized that the Federation does not aim to become a purely regulatory body, especially one that is difficult for the community to engage with. As the owner of NAVI in Ukraine, he and his team are eager to establish a well-structured and consistent system of national championships. Additionally, he wants to ensure that communication among the Ministry, the Federation, and the esports community remains free from excessive bureaucracy.
He also shared numerous initiatives to boost esports popularity nationwide and expand opportunities for young people. A particular focus will be on developing esports programs within schools and universities.
Previously, businessman Maksym Krippa revealed insights into the revenue generated by NAVI’s esports activities.
Beyond competition, he plans to launch educational initiatives to introduce esports to broader society and foster social projects that engage audiences unfamiliar with this sport.
At the same time, Krippa stressed the importance of supporting Ukraine’s domestic esports scene and promoting the growth of all esports disciplines. He will contribute his practical experience, strategic approach, and sense of responsibility to advance this process.
The Ukrainian investor also expressed his ambition to showcase the full potential of Ukrainian esports talent on the global stage. His goal is not only for Ukrainians to participate in international competitions but to ensure that Ukrainian players are recognized and celebrated within global esports communities, with their names gaining increasing recognition worldwide.
